Beauty - January Favorites (Make up & Candle)

Here we are ! The second part of my "January beauty favorites" ... in the middle of February (I know) !
Without further ado, let's get into the products !

Dyptique candle in "Musc" (normal size)

I will start with my favorite candle of the month, and I went for the expensive Dyptique one ! It's actually my first ever Dyptique candle, and I was quite exciting by this purchase (you know 42€ for a candle ... definitely not a bargain). So I past hours and hours in a very nice shop in Corsica where I was on holiday called "Ombres portées". Finally I decided to go for a very subtle musc scent, and I really really really like it ! Sometimes candles can be a little bit difficult to handle after few hours but I cope really well with this one ! Oh and my best friend, who were with me trying all the different Dyptique candles with me this day, bought the "Pomander" candle ... this stuff smell like .... heaven !

Rimmel Match Perfection liquid foundation

Moving on to make up and foundation in particular, this month I discovered the Match Perfection liquid foundation by Rimmel, thanks to Fleur. This product is amazing ! My skin is quite dry around the nose, and on my forehead, but along the day I have to deal with oily patches so I was a bit afraid that this foundation wouldn't work for me. But the finishing look is really natural, I think this formula works for all types of skin. I've been applying it with this brush from sephora who looks like the Real Techniques buffing brush. It gives a really good coverage without being too caky, and lives a really natural glow ! In case you wondering I'm using the shade 103 "True Ivory".

I combine the Rimmel foundation with this Maybelline highlighting concealer, that every morning I religiously apply around my eyes and on the sides of my nose to avoid any shadows. It's more of an highlighter than a concealer. It doesn't covered spots of blemishes, but it really light up your face !

Now January also as been the month of experimentations. Since month and month and month I've been loving very bold fuchsia lips and I think that the general, post-christmas-depression or let's-face-winter mood push me to buy a very pink and bold lipstick. I went to the drugstore and finally ended up buying a Bourgeois "Sweet Kiss" lipstick in shade 57 "Fuchsia class". A brand that I normally avoid since the catastrophe of the "mousse foundation" that I use to where years ago in middle high school, but this lipstick reconcile me with the French brand. The formulation is really nice, moisturizing and long lasting, the color is really pigmented and the final result is really nice and add a little something to your look ! To conclude I would say : go bold or go home !
